Small Opera: a takeover or just a change of leadership?

Little Opera

On Thursday evening, unknown individuals, claiming to be the new management, cut the locks from the doors of the Small Opera building.
According to eyewitnesses and employees who didn't even have time to retrieve personal belongings from the premises of the Small Opera, unknown individuals posted guards and replaced the locks on all the entrance doors of the building of the Small Opera of Ukraine.
The unknown individuals introduced themselves to the arriving law enforcement officers and journalists as the new owners.
According to employees and eyewitnesses, there are two versions of this event. It's possible it was a quick and unexpected change of management. They say they used the "surprise effect" to restore order—the former management was making a tidy profit from renting the premises, but had no intention of sharing it with the city. No formal contracts were signed with the tenants. Another version is that it was a typical corporate raid to open a new nightclub in the building. Nothing definitive is known yet.
One tenant reported that some employees were unable to retrieve their belongings from their rented rooms, and unknown individuals began throwing them out into the street. Eyewitnesses also mentioned a certain Ruslan Grigorievich Biletsky, who was appointed by the Kyiv City State Administration's Main Department of Culture as the new director of the Small Opera. However, we were unable to find any information about this on the Kyiv City State Administration website.
Alexandra Grebentsova writes on her Facebook page: "The Small Opera, a 1902 architectural landmark in the center of Kyiv, a venue for cultural gatherings, children's dance groups, creative evenings, and exhibitions, is currently under corporate raiding. All the performing groups have been kicked out. The locks have been changed. They're converting it into a nightclub!"
Dance teacher Kirill Smykovsky, who held regular classes there, told the portal Vgorode that the staff of the Malaya Opera were given no explanation or information about what would happen next:
"The information about the nightclub hasn't been confirmed. It's still pure speculation. As far as I know, this isn't exactly a hostile takeover, but rather a transfer of power that has already taken place. Anyone who was solely engaged in cultural activities on the premises of the Kyiv Small Opera municipal enterprise is not allowed in."
As of today, the telephone numbers listed on the Malaya Opera website refused to comment on the incident.
