On January 28, 2016, Kyiv Mayor Volodymyr Klitschko signed an order appointing Yanukovych-era official Hennadiy Plis as First Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration. This was announced in a post on the official Kyiv City Hall website.
Media reports indicate that Mr. Plis worked in Kyiv City Hall under Chernovetsky. At the time, he was the capital's chief auditor. He was later appointed advisor to the head of the Ministry of Agriculture, the infamous Anatoliy Prysyazhnyuk. Since 2012, he has worked at the State Food and Grain Corporation, heading the internal audit department.
It was previously reported that law enforcement officials were investigating corrupt actions by the leadership of the State Food and Grain Corporation (SFGC) during the Yanukovych era.
