The Ministry of Justice is preparing a hostile takeover of the Lermontovsky sanatorium.

LermontovskyThe division of lucrative pieces of the Soviet legacy in Ukraine (Odesa) continues, but unlike in the 90s, it's no longer gangs (extortion rackets) that are involved, but the highest echelons of power. For example, in the Odesa region, a serious battle is underway over the Lermontovsky Sanatorium, formerly owned by the Ukrprofzdravnitsa company and later transferred to the State Property Fund.

According to statements from Lermontovsky's press service (Sergey Bakumenko), the Ukrainian Ministry of Justice has long been trying to seize the sanatorium's property, but so far the Odessa Regional Commercial Court has rejected all of its attempts, ruling in favor of Lermontovsky. Now, Mr. Bakumenko claims, based on verified sources, the Ministry of Justice is recruiting militants, paying each one $200, to carry out a violent takeover of the enterprise in the near future. A large-scale Facebook campaign has been launched to save the sanatorium, and employees are also hoping to resolve the matter legally.
