The Miropol paper mill was seized by raiders wearing Aidar patches.

In the Zhytomyr region, one of the oldest Ukrainian enterprises, the Myropol paper mill, was seized by raiders wearing Aidar chevrons.

raider seizureThis was reported by plant employees. The raid by a group of unknown individuals, including men in camouflage uniforms and wearing Aidar Battalion insignia, occurred back in late October. According to eyewitnesses, approximately 30 armed men stormed the Myropol paper mill, pushed back security guards, occupied administrative offices, and blocked the plant's operations. This was done without any legal documents or court orders.
Since then, the Miropol paper mill has been run by a group of people who, having taken over the mill's property and production facilities, have established sales of its products for cash.

In response to the illegal actions, the owner of the enterprise, the Kharkiv Cardboard company, contacted the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the prosecutor's office, and the Security Service of Ukraine, but no measures were taken to protect private property rights.

According to the Kharkiv Cardboard director's appeal to law enforcement, the hostile takeover could result in the shutdown of the wastewater treatment plant, threatening the leakage of untreated wastewater into the Sluch River and serious environmental consequences. Furthermore, the hostile takeover could lead to the complete shutdown of the plant and a deterioration in Ukraine's image among foreign investors.

The Myropol Paper Mill is located in Myropol, Zhytomyr Oblast, and is one of the oldest Ukrainian enterprises. Founded in 1832, the mill specializes in the production of paper, cardboard, and corrugated cardboard, which is purchased by Ukrainian and international companies.
