The governor of the Zakarpattia region, Gennady Moskal, resigned and, in a commentary accompanying his decision, wrote that he would return to his post only when "Kyiv stops viewing the Zakarpattia region as a testing ground for political experiments and bargaining."

Moreover, Moskal stated that he would return to his position only after Vladimir Kolesnikov was reinstated as head of the Transcarpathian Customs Service.
The governor noted that the appointment of a new acting head of the Zakarpattia Customs Service is directly related to the fact that Vitaliy Khomutynnik's Renaissance group (read more: Vitaliy Khomutynnik: How Ukraine's Richest MP Made His Fortune ) voted positively for Groysman's appointment (read more: Volodymyr Groysman: Dark Spots in the Biography of the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada ) as Prime Minister of Ukraine. The current Cabinet of Ministers also paid for his appointment by retaining Roman Nasirov, Chairman of the State Fiscal Service (read more: Roman Nasirov: The Business Past of Ukraine's Chief Tax Official ).
Moskal stated that if these points of the "agreement" between Khomutinnik and Groysman are fulfilled, the Vozrozhdenie group will vote positively for government bills.
The governor emphasized that the region he leads "had already undergone a similar experiment when customs was handed over to the Balogh clan," Moskal concluded.
As a reminder, the Revival group of Verkhovna Rada members, led by Khomutynnik, cast 23 votes in favor of appointing Volodymyr Groysman as Prime Minister of Ukraine.
