After Gennady Moskal (more about it in the article Gennady Moskal: the many-faced foul-mouthed general) He was appointed governor of the Zakarpattia Regional State Administration, and at his instigation, key positions in the region began to be given to former representatives of the Yanukovych regime and people close to Viktor Medvedchuk.

In August of this year, Ivan Shkirta, a longtime friend of Moskal's from his time in the Ministry of Internal Affairs and associated with Medvedchuk's SDPU party, was appointed deputy mayor of Uzhgorod.

Recently, Gennady Moskal appointed another staunch supporter of the Yanukovych regime, Andriy Pogorelov, to a leadership position. He was appointed head of the Department of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Zakarpattia Regional State Administration. Pogorelov is the son of the controversial mayor of Uzhhorod, Viktor Pogorelov, who was dismissed after the Revolution of Dignity but managed to regain his mayoral seat through the courts.
