According to Roman Romanov, head of the Ukroboronprom concern, directors will be replaced at the concern's enterprises. He believes that Ukroboronprom enterprises should be led by modern managers with European education. Consequently, the state concern has announced a competition to fill the director positions at the enterprises.

According to the director, the ongoing reform process within the agency requires a modern approach to managerial recruitment. This is why the concern is already actively collaborating with Ukrainian and international recruiting firms. They will search for specialists who will help integrate global business standards into production and fundamentally reform the outdated management system.

When selecting new managers, in addition to relevant experience and knowledge, English proficiency and deep skills in marketing and strategic management will be taken into account. Candidates for senior positions will also be screened in accordance with the Law of Ukraine "On the Purification of Government."

Romanov also noted that over the past six months, Ukroboronprom has undergone changes that have significantly improved operational efficiency. During this time, 12 plants have been led by new professional managers. In a short period of time, these enterprises have become profitable and efficient.

Roman Romanov was appointed CEO of the Ukroboronprom concern on July 4, 2014. Roman Romanov is a physics and computer science teacher by education and a car salesman by experience.

Currently, 96 enterprises operate within the Ukroboronprom concern: 23 are located in Crimea, as well as in the ATO zone, and 15 are in a state of bankruptcy.
