On March 18, 2021, the court ordered the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) to open a criminal investigation into possible abuses by the head of the Cherkasy regional administration, Oleksandr Skichko, according to reports. Ukrainian news.

A criminal complaint under Part 2 of Article 364 (abuse of power or official authority) of the Criminal Code, committed by the head of the Cherkasy Regional Administration, was received by the NABU on February 18, but the information was not entered into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations (URDR) and no investigation was initiated.

"The plaintiff claims that NABU officials failed to comply with the requirements of the Criminal Procedure Code and therefore filed a petition with the court to compel the National Anti-Corruption Bureau to enter the information into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations and initiate an investigation," the publication writes.
