Firtash's Nadra Bank was ordered to return 228 million hryvnias to the state.

NadrabankThe Supreme Commercial Court of Ukraine has awarded Dmytro Firtash's Nadra Bank UAH 228,14 million in interest on a loan agreement in favor of the State Mortgage Institution. This was reported by the SMI press service, citing a court ruling dated March 12, 2015.

Legal proceedings between the State Mortgage Institution and Nadra Bank lasted from 2009 to 2015. The state-owned company attempted to recover interest from Nadra Bank in accordance with the signed loan agreement.

The Kyiv prosecutor's office reportedly filed a lawsuit on behalf of the state agency. Following the hearing, the court of first instance ordered Nadra Bank OJSC to pay the State Mortgage Institution the aforementioned interest. Dmytro Firtash's bank subsequently decided to appeal the decision. The Supreme Commercial Court concluded the long-running legal battle, upholding the lower court's decision as fully compliant with current legislation.

As a reminder, on February 5, the NBU issued a decree classifying Nadra Bank as insolvent and placing the financial institution under temporary administration. It was previously reported that Firtash had attempted to pressure the Ukrainian government through the employers' federation to prevent Nadra Bank from being placed under temporary administration..
