Tax authorities are demanding billions of hryvnias from Kyivstar.

KyivstarThe State Fiscal Service has demanded that the mobile operator Kyivstar pay more than 1 billion hryvnia in taxes.

Company President Petro Chernyshov promised to comment on the situation soon. It turns out that over 4 billion hryvnias in income appeared in the company's accounts in 2013-2014, the origin of which management cannot explain.

It is noted that in those years, Kyivstar worked with the Elbrus company, which received certain goods from the operator, but then refused to sign the powers of attorney under which the goods were received.

In fact, Kyivstar was "gifted" 4 billion hryvnias. It's worth noting that Elbrus is associated with former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych. During his presidency, the company pushed itself onto operators as the primary distributor of top-up cards and starter packs, reselling them to end dealers.

Interestingly, the company is also connected to Serhiy Kurchenko. And most ironically, as of 2013, the company employed exactly one person, and the book value of its fixed assets was 10 hryvnias.

Previously, this company was “exposed” in contacts with the operator MTS Ukraine (now Vodafone).
