According to Oleh Ruban, head of the State Service for Consumer Protection and Consumer Protection, only the hotel was fined for a party at the Fairmont Grand Hotel Kyiv hosted by Servant of the People MP Mykola Tyshchenko during the lockdown. Ruban clarified that police issued a fine of 34,000 hryvnias the day after the MP's wife's birthday party, on April 19.

Law enforcement officials also prepared documents for criminal proceedings under the article for "violation of sanitary rules and regulations."

"Only the hotel and restaurant administration will be held accountable. Tishchenko can only be held accountable as an individual for this action," Ruban said.
