MPs are being blocked from "button-pushing"

On March 2, 2021, the Verkhovna Rada will begin using a touch button for voting, which should block parliamentarians from voting in person, according to reports. Ukrainian News.

According to Verkhovna Rada Chairman Dmytro Razumkov, work was completed last week, and testing was conducted to implement the touch-sensitive button system in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

"Starting this plenary week, we'll be able to use it during voting and sessions of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. It meets all standards. The institute that developed it has tested it. The issues that sparked debate have been resolved, and we have an official conclusion, an official document stating that it (the button) can be used. Therefore, starting next plenary session—I congratulate you all—we'll be able to truly demonstrate a system that will prevent the use of 'button pushing' within the walls of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine," the speaker noted.
