The NBU will support 5 banks.

nbuAnalysts from the international rating agency Standard & Poor's have compiled a report showing that the NBU has prioritized five banks that could be the first to receive regulatory assistance. The list of financial institutions includes Oschadbank, Privat Bank, Ukreximbank, Sberbank of Russia, and Prominvestbank. This was reported by LigaBusinessInform, citing an analytical note from the international rating agency Standard & Poor's.

The agency's experts note that the NBU based its selection on a number of criteria, such as a market share of at least 2% in terms of assets and retail deposits. These financial institutions also have a high degree of importance for the Ukrainian banking system.

According to analysts at Standard & Poor's, only solvent banks are eligible for refinancing loans from the NBU. Weak and unstable banks with low significance for the Ukrainian banking sector will not receive support from the NBU and will be liquidated.
