The NBU will auction off the assets of Novinsky, Ivchenko, and Zhevago.

auctionThe National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has published a list of collateral assets to be auctioned. The regulator plans to auction off the assets of Vadym Novinsky, Oleksiy Ivchenko, and Kostyantyn Zhevago at an auction in April 2016.

These businessmen took out loans from the National Bank to refinance their financial institutions and vouched for the loans with real estate and vehicles.

Novinskyi's Forum Bank owes the National Bank 5 billion hryvnias. The property pledged for the regulator's loan is the floating art hotel "Bakkara." The building's value is estimated at 40 million hryvnias.

The Arena City shopping center, worth UAH 94,5 million, was used as collateral for Oleksiy Ivchenko's financial institution, Eurogasbank.

Kostiantyn Zhevago's Finance and Credit Bank owes the NBU approximately UAH 9 billion. Mr. Zhevago pledged the following properties as collateral for the regulator's refinancing: the Rosava plant building, the Belotserkivska Thermal Power Plant, the Salut Hotel, the Arterium pharmaceutical corporation, and the Kyivmedpreparat buildings in Kyiv.
