The People's Front faction in the parliament is demanding increased funding for the European Wall project (better known to the public as the "Yatsenyuk fence") to develop Ukraine's border with Russia. This was reported by the People's Front press service, citing a statement by the faction's first deputy chairman, Andriy Teteruk.
The MP noted that his faction will lobby for continued funding for border improvements. Teteruk emphasized that during an inspection of the "European Val" structures in the Kharkiv region, it was discovered that the metal observation towers already "have sufficient equipment, including thermal imagers and cameras, serviced by independent energy sources."
As a reminder, journalists previously visited the so-called "European Wall" on the Ukrainian-Russian border. The "Wall" project, begun by Arseniy Yatsenyuk's government, cost the country hundreds of millions of hryvnias. However, instead of fortifications intended to protect against Russian aggression, a hole and a green wire fence, later dubbed "Yatsenyuk's fence," were discovered at the site of the completed work.
