The National Securities and Stock Market Commission (NSSM) has denied permission to inject funds into Ukrsotsbank.

ukrsocThe National Securities and Stock Market Commission of Ukraine has denied permission for a shareholder of Ukrsotsbank (UniCredit Bank, Kyiv) to issue additional common shares worth UAH 5,868 billion, Interfax-Ukraine reported, citing the NSSM press service.

 

It is known that on June 4, during a review of the issuer's documents submitted for the share issue, the commission found discrepancies in the submitted documentation. However, the financial institution is confident that this is purely a technical issue and will be resolved shortly.

 

It was previously reported that Ukrsotsbank shareholder UniCredit announced its intention to increase its authorized capital by USD 250 million. In 2014, Ukrsotsbank posted a net loss of UAH 2,662 billion.

 

As of January 1, 2015, according to the NBU, the bank ranked 6th among all operating financial institutions in Ukraine with assets of UAH 48,258 billion.

We previously reported that on May 25, in accordance with a ruling by Kyiv's Pechersk Court, the SBU conducted searches at Ukrsotsbank.
