Previously, Margarita Sapozhnikova held the position of Deputy Mayor for Humanitarian Affairs. Yevgeny Shevchenko, an economist by training, hasn't yet had the opportunity to address the city's healthcare and social issues. However, as experience shows, a diploma and education aren't necessary to effectively manage a city. You just need to be friends with the right people, and everything will work out.
On December 26, during a meeting of the Nikolaev Executive Committee, Yuriy Granaturov announced that on December 25, he signed a resolution appointing Yevhen Shevchenko, who previously headed the City Council's Department of Foreign Policy and International Cooperation, as acting deputy mayor.
This appointment was criticized by deputies of the Nikolaev City Council.
"First of all, we don't know where Margarita Sapozhnikova has gone. I know she was still at work this week. This is news to us. I've already heard about it in the press, but why? Our opinion is that Margarita Aleksandrovna performed her duties professionally, and there were no particular issues with her as a manager regarding the organization of her work. This is Yuriy Granaturov's personal decision," said Igor Kopeyka, a member of the Mykolaiv City Council.
