I have been talking to him for a while about the need to cleanse the SBU and the methods of its work.
U.T.: How do you assess the activity of the SBU for the rest of the year? Efficiency, cleanliness - no stink?
– The long-awaited power-creating, fundamental changes did not happen. If you want to understand how to get by with cosmetic repairs, which is usually carried out for the human eye, there is no way around it. For a long time, the special service was shaped by the principle of special loyalty, and not patriotism and professionalism. Even back in 1993–1994, SBU officers were not given full allegiance to the Ukrainian state, and “patriotism” was simply taken as a word that had nothing behind it. This inherits a structure with innate elements of unprofessionalism and corruption and is also densely filled with an anti-Ukrainian, pro-Russian villainous and immoral element. Our state did not develop, so everything went best to the oligarchic clans. Zhoden the President did not give the development of the special services the utmost respect. The result is quite obvious. Apparently, the SBU was filled with a proud sadness, which can only give rise to so much sadness. The reform will continue until the end.
U.T.: So how did they do it in the Czech Republic: let everyone go and recruit completely new people?
– The Czechs found it simpler, because the great Havel became their president and conquered the world at the time of the reform. In our time at such an approach, we hopelessly spoiled 20 years ago. And most importantly: it is impossible to repeat their successes in the hour of war, even with the low level of security of the special services, protected by the Security Council of Ukraine.

U.T.: Vibachte, it’s too much to talk about your special officer’s hostility to the bottom of the SBU’s head. At the same time, it seems that Russians hate Valentin Nalyvaichenko for the fact that in 2008 he never let the Americans get access to secret documents of the Ukrainian intelligence service. And how should the public bother about the deportation of Russian agents in 2009, by documenting the activities of the Russian special services?
- If you don’t mind my private glance, then accept it. The only thing I don’t agree with is the term “special hostility.” Between us and Mr. Nalivaichenko there were no, no, altercations, no particular quarrels, and there was more likes and dislikes. We have different categories and criteria for assessing groups and people. If from the plantings that surround each other, the share and life of the citizens of Ukraine did not lie, then you would not have felt that my assessments and comments were completely new. Our acquaintance began on the day of the recognition of the head of the SBU Directorate in the Donetsk region in 2006, and, unfortunately, it began with another attempt to manipulate the choice of transport for my presentation.
Nalyvaychenko has good intelligence training, having graduated from the Russian Academy of Foreign Intelligence Service (Vishcha Chervonopraporna School of the KGB of the SRSR named after Yu.V. At the beginning of my career with the Security Service, I was already impressed by its patriotic rhetoric in the style of “We are Ukrainians”, coupled with the training I received at the Advanced Academy, and my natural talent to properly develop and get promoted. It was only then that it came to the deeper processes, when this people appeared completely different from their style of behavior. Let us first talk about the frames: their selection, re-verification, beginning. In this reign of Nalyvaychenko herself, having recruited people on the basis of the principle of special allegiances and interests, Ukraine obviously wasted its potential in the security sector in all directions. Think about Kislinsky, Khoroshkovsky, the rift between Yushchenko and Tymoshenko, etc. And a headache: why in 2009–2010 was there no statement about the unsafe rise of the Donetsk clan to power? Or perhaps, having already forgotten the recent scandal near Dnipropetrovsk with Georgiy Yaroshenko, “watching” the SBU and the people of Nalivaichenka? And this is by no means a single issue, since information is still circulating on the sidelines among the fakhists...
U.T.: Well, the logic goes that Nalyvaichenko does not protect the interests of Ukraine and is a deeply involved agent of the enemy. Let's call him a career police officer of the Russian special services...
– I can’t confirm anything, there is still concrete evidence to be found here. No one cares about us thinking or working again.
U.T.: Why did it happen that the SBU itself in Donbass became one of the main locomotives of separatism?
– Because the great KGB officers, who lost their jobs in our country, did not resist, but rather encouraged the anti-Ukrainian sentiments and the work of the Russian special services. How can we not predict the triumvirate, which, after the departure of Yanukovych, began to stir up anti-Ukrainian hysteria at the Assembly? These are people's deputies Oleksandr Efremov, Valeriy Golenko and ex-officer of the SBU Directorate in the Lugansk region Oleksandr Tretyak. U.T.: What kind of positive changes are there in the remaining hours?
– One change, as I note, has occurred in the counterintelligence department, which has begun to fall back on its feet. It is necessary to understand that in the extreme, natural transformations are occurring, and the zeal for patriotism is growing. They are the same, despite everything, and the SBU. You know, you can’t resist the pressure, and you won’t give in to anyone, no agent, so a special feeling is more strongly felt in the choice: to follow the path of corruption or for good. There was simply no such choice for Yanukovych. It is important that the government of the region has decided to listen to us, even though we were shouting about it from the top of our heads, and have decided to begin to revive the structure of the military counterintelligence service. In fact, the same SMERSH.
Of course, the gigantic problem with personnel immediately came to light, but the work has begun, and we can’t help but be quiet. I respect that at the right time, in the 1990s, we laid good shadows under the security system. It’s a proven fact that those “barigs” and “businessmen” got their hands on the property and squandered a lot. So, the biggest problem of the region, and the SBU, is “dah”, which is absolutely leaking. However, the foundation is still in place and may still stand. It’s not without reason that the Russian people have already had a lot of professional officers who came from Ukraine: we, I respect you, have great potential, and only political will is lacking. The SBU may turn into a machine due to the protection of the law and security, and it does not matter who gets its money: no matter who the president is, he will probably testify. Our special services have forgotten the rest of the rocks 10 far from turning their noses and did not do anything to intercept the initiative from Russia on all fronts. For Yanukovych, almost all the military personnel of the Ukrainian security forces and special forces were included in the Airborne Forces of the Russian Federation, as one of the intercessors of the Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu believes. Most of these people and women are in the suburbs. The role of the SBU in forming the anti-Maidan, sending militants to Kiev, distributing pennies for beating cars, etc. has not been announced. There is no greedy condemnation (moral slander, as already said about personnel). Self-righteously, I will especially brutalize Petro Poroshenko as the commander-in-chief. I believe that it is clear from the ex-defender of the head of the Presidential Administration, Yuriy Kosyuk, that a billionaire, or even a professional, cannot take care of the security block. Or there is some kind of unspoken thing that is declaring to the whole world about the secret home ownership about the supply of goods. We don’t have enough time for games and behind-the-scenes intrigue: war. There is a need to urgently cleanse the power structures - this means a complete re-certification, and the creation of filtration centers and commissions, and the replacement of our strongholds at the Assembly. And the gift that the champions of human rights shout - let us raise the hand of the one who respects, so that in the hours of war, without any entry, we can overcome such a powerful enemy as Russia, which has already been strengthened for the rest of the hour, if we, by chance, weakened. And then: the Russian Federation masterfully acts through indirect agents in vain, so that people do not receive encryption from the GRU headquarters, but simply for the help of important financial interests, they are led to actions that are important to Moscow, if there is no information understanding of this.
U.T.: Well, you can’t get all the names and recruit new ones, because there’s war. It’s impossible to live like this any longer. So why bother? Your recipe for cleansing the SBU?
– First of all, it’s important to call up from the reserve all the great practitioners who have not bothered themselves with a thorough relationship with the Yanukovych regime, contacts with Moscow and re-investigations of democratic forces, and put them in specific operational positions robot, let's move on to the gathering. I especially know a lot of secret KGB agents, but I only reveal this information when people begin to fight against Ukraine.
