The Association of Ukrainian Banks published the financial indicators of 82 financial institutions in Ukraine.
According to the Association, state-owned Oschadbank was the most unprofitable bank in October, with losses amounting to UAH 1,367 billion for the month. Since the beginning of the year, it has lost UAH 6,768 billion. Around 30 other banks lost a combined UAH 3,473 billion, bringing the total loss for October to UAH 3,7 billion.
It's worth noting that Oschadbank, while leading in terms of unprofitability, isn't doing so well for other banks either. The top five banks with the highest unprofitability, in descending order after number one, are Ukrsotsbank, Fidobank, and Clearing House, with Alfa-Bank in fifth place.
Overall, given that a number of banks have declared bankruptcy this year, it can be said that the situation is worsening, especially against the backdrop of the national currency's decline.
