VENBEST Security Company – a gateway to invasion of Ukraine

securityThere have been previous reports that Yanukovych Jr., through the Regional Direct Investment Fund (EVF), purchased one of the largest security companies on the domestic market, VENBEST.
Today, further developments are of interest. In particular, FORBES published an article in its February 2016 issue revealing VENBEST's ambitious plans to acquire smaller regional security companies with the goal of creating a powerful security structure with regional offices in every region of Ukraine, united under a single command center.
This indirectly confirms former President Yanukovych's plans to establish a privately controlled security structure in Ukraine, with the goal of exploiting all its capabilities (including those that are not entirely legal) to orchestrate a revanche in the upcoming elections and return to power in Ukraine. After all, it's no secret that physically strong and well-trained "titushki" (secret police) can provide worthy competition to state law enforcement agencies in maintaining public order at territorial polling stations across the country and dramatically influence the outcome of the popular vote. This is achieved by intimidating voters and public activists during the election campaign, as well as by organizing various fraudulent activities during the elections themselves and providing so-called "forceful" cover for such events.
As reported by a VENBEST employee, who wished to remain anonymous for obvious reasons, the company has recently undergone organizational changes, resulting in the security company's structure increasingly resembling that of a paramilitary organization. A clear division into smaller units (tens) is observed, with a designated person responsible for their activities (the foreman). A culture of "unquestioning obedience" to the foreman is instilled throughout, along with their complete accountability to the superior of the next higher level (the centurion), etc. VENBEST employees also undergo specialized psychological training to foster a unique team spirit and a readiness to strictly obey ANY orders of a superior at any time of day or night, regardless of whether the employee is at work or on vacation, without the slightest doubt as to their logic, validity, or, indeed, legality.
All this is beginning to resemble a sect of fanatical fundamentalists, each with their own spiritual leader in the organization's director and a mentor in the form of their foreman. What purpose does this serve in a security structure that is, in essence, an element of civil society, not an armed state security agency?
According to information from Ukrainian intelligence agencies, the company "VENBEST" employs a significant number of so-called "everyday" separatists, who are quite loyal to the "Russian World" and sympathetic to the self-proclaimed republics of the "DPR/LPR." However, the lack or impossibility of collecting evidence of such motivated actions in their support by "foremen," "hundreders," and even rank-and-file employees reliably prevents the suspects from being prosecuted under current Ukrainian law. And, as is typical in modern para-fundamentalist social structures, mutual responsibility is the key.
Moreover, according to fairly reliable Ukrainian military intelligence sources from "friendly" Russian intelligence services, Russia is seriously developing a plan to deploy several "deep-seated" sabotage and reconnaissance groups into Ukrainian territory. One option for their subsequent legalization in the country is quite realistically being considered: "employment" under the guise of "anti-terrorist operation" heroes within VENBEST structures. Experts say that "Putin's henchmen" have long been searching for approaches to creating a similar security structure in Ukraine as an ideal cover for carrying out ideological and other subversive activities with impunity, directly behind our lines.
The most important stage in the implementation of this plan is the creation of a paramilitary organization, widely represented in all regions of Ukraine (under the cover of an equipped, mobile, armed and fairly large security company), loyal to the ideas of recreating the "Russian world", the "Novorossiya" project, whose personnel and leadership are well prepared physically and morally, and whose adherence to the principles of unity of command and the motivation to carry out any order of the commander, when the time "H" comes, can significantly simplify the task of further military invasion by the aggressor on the territory of Ukraine, if such a decision, of course, is made.
Moreover, this "White Brotherhood" (or Ku Kluss Klan, if you will) security force, which VENBEST is gradually evolving into, is indeed very convenient to use during the upcoming elections to ensure the triumphant return of the Yanukovych clan to power. Destabilization of the situation in regions far from the capital, the violent seizure of various government institutions, including territorial polling stations and administrative buildings, provoking mass unrest and clashes with law enforcement – all of this has happened before, and the vast majority of VENBEST employees have been trained in all of this since their time in law enforcement.
So we have to wonder: aren't we helping to build another "Trojan Horse," one that could very well destroy not only Troy but the entire country? Are we not nurturing a poisonous "viper" in our bosoms?
