PJSC Goszembank declared bankrupt

the bank is bankruptOn July 26, 2016, the NBU declared PJSC Goszembank (State Land Bank) insolvent. The regulator's press service noted that the financial institution had been declared problematic back in March of this year "due to the discovery of a conflict of interest within the bank."

According to the National Bank, PJSC Goszembank failed to take sufficient measures to address the concerns and bring its operations into compliance with existing regulations. Furthermore, the bank's management and owners failed to make any appropriate decisions, and the financial institution's situation began to deteriorate.

It is known that no deposits from individuals were placed in PJSC Goszembank.

As a reminder, the State Land Bank was established by a Cabinet of Ministers decree on July 02, 2012. The financial institution was tasked with implementing state investment programs and providing credit support to agricultural enterprises.
