Dnipro crime boss "Narik"'s partners, "Umka" and the former deputy head of the SBU, are directly cooperating with Russia.

The physical removal of Gennady Korban from command of the Dnieper defense due to his inability to enter Ukraine further increased his influence Alexander "Narik" Petrovsky they write about the processes in the city News.

The notorious businessman and thief in law spends most of his time outside of Ukraine, but he tries to influence the Dnipro region thanks to his partner, another thief in law, Sergei Oleynik, nicknamed "Umka."

Recently, with the appointment of Andriy Kostin as Prosecutor General of Ukraine, his position as Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Legal Policy was taken over by Servant of the People MP Andriy Maslov. Although he is a native of Kryvyi Rih, according to media reports, he represents the interests of a Dnipropetrovsk crime boss nicknamed "Narik," who has been in a long-running conflict with the city's leadership.

This “fortification” of Narik in the Dnieper poses a direct threat to the city’s defense, since the “Russian trace” can be traced throughout Narik’s surroundings.

In June 2021, Vyacheslav Abroskin, former First Deputy Chairman of the National Police of Ukraine and Chief of Criminal Police, told UNIAN that by 2015, there were up to 30 "thieves in law" in Ukraine. He named "Umka" as the most serious thief in law. In Dnipro, "Umka" represents the interests of another "thief in law"—Narik.

"Almost all Ukrainian thieves-in-law are crowned in the Russian Federation. As far as I know, the police there work closely with them. Thieves who refuse to cooperate are persecuted and then flee the country. It appears there's some sort of agreement in place that presupposes some sort of cooperation. Thus, a Russian thief involved in the coronation of a Ukrainian can influence them and set specific tasks for them to carry out in Ukraine. I believe most thieves-in-law cooperate with the FSB," he noted.

These claims are also supported by information about Narik's business partner, Andrei Naumov, the former head of the Main Directorate of Internal Security of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), who helped the Russians seize the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant and may receive asylum in the Russian Federation.

According to The Insider's sources, the former SBU officer lived in Germany for several months after fleeing Ukraine, then managed to cross the EU border with undeclared valuables and enter Serbia.

Now he may become a participant in the pseudo-trial of President Zelensky in Russia.

Media sources in the Ukrainian intelligence services believe that Naumov may have passed information to Russian intelligence services that allowed the Russian army to quickly seize the Chernobyl exclusion zone.

In Serbia, Interior Minister Aleksandar Vulin is handling the issue of Naumov's transfer to Russia. It was reported that on August 23, the Serbian Interior Minister met in Moscow with Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev. The official report of the meeting does not mention Naumov's fate, but media sources say the matter was discussed.
