Since the start of the election campaign, law enforcement officials have already opened 50 criminal cases related to crimes committed during the election campaign for the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
Advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Anton Gerashchenko announced this at a briefing.
The advisor to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs noted that, as of October 10, Ukrainian internal affairs agencies had opened 11 criminal cases related to voter bribery.
For example, in Odesa, pensioners and doctors were invited to a meeting with parliamentary candidate Serhiy Kivalov. During the meeting, food packages and "material assistance" of 200 hryvnias were distributed.
As a reminder, photos of Kivlov bribing pensioners with wine and sandwiches previously appeared online.
