A European Court ruling has unfrozen the bank accounts of several former Ukrainian officials, journalist Rikard Jozvik wrote on Twitter.

We are talking about the former head of the Presidential Administration Andriy Klyuyev, former Prime Minister Mykola Azarov, former Deputy Prime Minister Serhiy Arbuzov, and former Energy Minister Eduard Stavytsky.

The EU Court's ruling states that a person cannot be presumed guilty of misappropriation of funds if the circumstances of a preliminary investigation conducted in a third country are unclear to EU authorities. The Court has given the applicant two months to file an appeal.

It's worth noting that recently, on January 22, the Interpol website removed information on almost all officials from the Viktor Yanukovych era who had previously been on the international wanted list. Interpol later stated that it had simply restricted access to this information, but had not removed it.
