A group of unknown individuals attacked the Dnipropetrovsk region prosecutor, Roman Fedyk.
Prosecutor General Vitaliy Yarema announced this at a briefing in Kyiv on Tuesday.
According to him, the attack took place on the premises of the prosecutor's office.
"Roman Fedyk worked honestly his entire life, and in 2010, like most honest people, he was fired from the prosecutor's office and was reinstated in his position in March 2014," Yarema noted.
"And today, the so-called 'lustration committee' came to the prosecutor's office, began ripping off his badges, and engaged in a confrontation. Thank God, no bodily harm was caused," he reported.
“I regard this as pressure and will respond accordingly within the law and the powers granted to me,” the Prosecutor General stated.
