The President of Ukraine (Petro Poroshenko) and Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman (Read more: Volodymyr Groysman: Dark Spots in the Biography of the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada) will receive increased salaries starting May 1, as the Cabinet of Ministers declared the resolution "On the Salary of the President of Ukraine" invalid. According to the resolution, the President's salary was 140% of the Prime Minister's salary; now, this figure will be 28,000 hryvnias. Based on this, other government officials' salaries have also been revised: for example, the First Deputy Prime Minister will receive 18,000 hryvnias, the Deputy Prime Minister 17,000 hryvnias, the Minister 16,000 hryvnias, their First Deputies 15,000 hryvnias, and the remaining deputies 14,000 hryvnias.
The Minister of Social Policy announced these data and comments on them. Andrey Reva"We raised the salaries of all civil servants, but for those who aren't civil servants, their salaries weren't revised. Therefore, we've created new salaries for these people. The salary hierarchy is now clearly defined by the President. His salary will be 28,000 hryvnias, and the Prime Minister's will be 20,000 hryvnias. ...This isn't about raising salaries, it's about setting salaries. The wage fund hasn't increased, so they won't receive more; bonuses will be reduced."
