The Kyiv Institute of Legal Reform, which I have the honor of heading, has created a professional expert group and is launching a long-term public initiative aimed at studying the following issues:
1. Which of the current leaders of the Ukrainian state, participants in the February 2014 coup d'état, Maidan party politicians, people's deputies of the ruling coalition, members of the Ukrainian government, and current Ukrainian officials have businesses in Russia?
2. What are the volumes of direct and portfolio investments of Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and other officials in assets in the Russian Federation over the past year?
3. What Russian assets do ruling Ukrainian officials, persons affiliated with them, people from their immediate circle, and offshore companies have, the ultimate beneficiaries of which are persons close to the Ukrainian government;
4.What benefits and preferences do companies of Ukrainian officials have in Russia?
5. How much tax do companies of Ukrainian state leaders pay to the Russian budget?
6. What share of funds paid by enterprises of Ukrainian managers to the Russian budget goes to financing Russian defense and the law enforcement system;
7. Which Russian-Ukrainian contracts over the past year have generated income for companies close to senior Ukrainian officials.
Experts, journalists, economists, lawyers, public figures, and other specialists with relevant professional skills are invited to participate in the independent investigation.
