Criminal Investigation Department officers, together with police officers from the Cherkasy District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Cherkasy Region, exposed a fraudster who was taking money for military equipment and spending it on his own needs, reports press office National police.

Thus, law enforcement officers exposed a criminal who decided to "make money" from the war. He was a 31-year-old resident of the Cherkasy district. The suspect defrauded citizens on social media who wanted to purchase equipment for the Ukrainian military. The criminal posted ads offering military uniforms, boots, and other military goods at attractive prices. He received deposits from potential buyers but never sent the goods. The "swindler" spent the proceeds on his own needs.

Under the procedural guidance of the Cherkasy District Prosecutor's Office, the perpetrator was notified of suspicion under Parts 1 and 2 of Article 190 (fraud) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
