Chairman of the Kyiv Court of Odessa, Serhiy Chvankin: income declaration

Sergey Anatolyevich Chvankin was appointed to the position of judge of the Suvorovsky District Court of the city of Odessa for a term of 5 years by the Decree of the President of Ukraine dated October 13, 2008.

On April 19, 2011, the High Council of Justice decided to appoint Sergei Anatolyevich as the Chairman of the Kyiv District Court of Odessa.
On September 5, 2013, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine elected him as a judge for life.
Information has leaked to the media that Sergei Chvankin intends to replace Anatoly Vasilyevich Lunyachenko as chairman of the Odessa Regional Court of Appeal.
According to income and expense declarations for 2011-2013, the judge and his family own two apartments, measuring 45,3 square meters and 80,18 square meters, a 30,3 square meter parking space, and a 1000 square meter plot of land. Despite the ample parking space, neither the judge nor his family members (according to their declarations) own cars.

The activists decided to ask the judge what funds were used to purchase the declared real estate.
In response to a request from activists, the judge responded that all the property had been acquired before he took up the position of judge.
In 1999, a 45,3 square meter apartment was purchased on the Odessa Commodity Exchange for 7,973 hryvnias (it was sold in 2014), and an 80.18 square meter apartment and parking spaces were purchased by his wife in 2007. The land also belongs to the judge's wife. The plot was allocated in 1995 right in the middle of a field in the Ovidiopol district.
