The Ministry of Finance's editorial team has selected the best bank review of October. Author Serhiy Danileiko described an unsuccessful attempt to withdraw 20 hryvnias from a PrivatBank ATM, which left him with nothing. His user experience may be useful to other readers. Ministry of Finance.

The man immediately dialed the bank's hotline number, 3700, without leaving the ATM. The operator confirmed that there had indeed been a glitch and assured him that the system had automatically generated a request to return the amount to the client's account within 24 hours. Sergey Danileiko also received a message in Privat24 about the request.

But the funds didn't arrive in the account within a day or two. Furthermore, when I contacted the call center again, the operator said my request had been rejected because the ATM had dispensed the funds and no malfunction had been detected.

Following this, the author of the review contacted the bank several times with a request to verify the information with the recording of the conversation with the operator and to view the video recordings from the ATM camera.

«To which I rejected the evidence that in the returned cats I was still convinced, since at 10:12 the cats were taken and there was a photo, and I don’t know who’s in the photo.

It turns out that through their incompetence, I spent 20,000 UAH (twenty thousand hryvnia)"," Sergei Danileiko is indignant and wonders where to turn next to get his own funds.

What do they say at the bank?

PrivatBank responded promptly, noting that relevant specialists had already reviewed the respondent's refund request. However, their customer support team declined to take responsibility.

«It is important to understand that whatever decision is made on such a request, whether positive or negative, is not accepted casually, but is always based on information that is rejected during the re-interpretation by the fakers. When you remove the preparation, the ATM records and saves data about the skin operation and its success. The fakers rely on this information. A review of the collection results is also carried out, which may show an excess in the ATM, if the preparation was not visible. In addition, to make sure that the bill acceptor is opened for cooking, the photo materials from the ATM have been verified"," the bank explained.
