The prosecutor's office will begin demolishing a historic building near the Kyiv railway station.

The Shevchenkivskyi District Prosecutor's Office of Kyiv has opened a criminal investigation into a complaint filed by a public organization regarding unauthorized construction work, specifically the demolition of the Utkin House on Symona Petliury Street in the Shevchenkivskyi District of Kyiv. This was reported by Ukrainian News with reference to the prosecutor's office.

On April 10, 2021, information about this fact was entered into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations on the grounds of a criminal offense under Article 356 of the Criminal Code (arbitrariness).

As a reminder, the Utkin Apartment Building is a historic building in central Kyiv, near the train station. Built in the late 19th century, it was owned by second-guild merchant Ivan Yakovlevich Utkin.
