Sumy Region Prosecutors: Currently, only three prosecutors remain serving the captain of the prosecutorial musketeers in the Sumy region: Gennady Gladkov, Valentin Zherebkin, and Tatyana Mironenko.
Four prosecutorial musketeers and the beautiful Constance—that's the makeup of the Sumy Regional Prosecutor's Office. Alas, the musketeers were recently left without their D'Artagnan, Vladimir Petrov, and his loyal assistant, the wealthy Count de Laferre, Dmitry Andreyev, who, while earning 200 rubles a year, manages to wear a watch equivalent to his annual salary and drives a car worth 700 hryvnias.
Now, only three prosecutorial musketeers remain in the Sumy region to serve the captain: Partos, an illegal forest owner and penniless prosecutor, Gennady Gladkov; Aramis, a smuggler and homeless prosecutor, Valentin Zherebkin; and the humble Konstanzia, Tatyana Mironenko.
The prosecutor's musketeers in search of D'Artagnan
Our story is about the events that took place in the Buckingham Palace of the Sumy Regional Prosecutor's Office, where four brave musketeers and the courageous Constance served faithfully under the captain-lieutenant of the prosecutor's musketeers, Vitaly de Yarema.
Until recently, the main figure in this quintet was the brave musketeer Vladimir Petrov, but recently the captain-lieutenant of the prosecutor's musketeers, de Yarema, decided to dismiss him.
Prosecutor Petrov has a highly successful career and over 30 years of experience as a prosecutor. He held senior positions in the Dnipropetrovsk and Poltava regions.
Our D'Artagnan is married to a judge in the Dnipropetrovsk regional commercial court. His eldest son, Alexei, works in a bank, his youngest son, Pavel, is an investigator in the Oktyabrsky district prosecutor's office in Poltava, and his daughter, Katerina, is a private notary. This is quite a successful family for the prosecutor.
But disaster struck from an unexpected direction: the lustration law left the head of the family jobless. Petrov disagreed with this outcome and is now challenging his dismissal in court. The former Sumy Oblast prosecutor maintains that he made no decisions that violated citizens' rights, did not facilitate Yanukovych's usurpation of power, and, moreover, did not undertake measures to undermine the foundations of Ukraine's national security and defense, as defined by the Law of Ukraine "On the Purification of Government."
Well, while the legal red tape drags on, we will still take a look at how our brave musketeer lived last year.
According to Petrov's declaration, he earned 173,5 hryvnias last year, 37 of which came from teaching at the Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs, and the rest from other income. Despite such a meager income, the courageous musketeer managed to bank 57 hryvnias.
Last year, Ms. Petrova wasn't idle either, earning even more than her husband—a whopping 219 hryvnias. Apparently thanks to her hard work, she managed to buy a 530-square-meter plot of land, a 140-square-meter apartment, a 48-square-meter country house, and a 240-square-meter garage. The prosecutor, meanwhile, only managed to buy himself a 57-square-meter apartment and a 28-square-meter garage.
As for transportation, since regular apple-shaped horses are not in fashion these days, the prosecutor decided to drive a 2011 Toyota Highlander (used costs about 600 thousand UAH), and his wife a 2008 Toyota Corolla (used costs about 210 thousand UAH).
Farewell, Count Andreev
Following his boss, the not-so-well-off Count De Lafer, Athos – Dmitry Andreev – also left the prosecutor’s office.
Prior to his appointment to the Sumy Regional Prosecutor's Office, Atos served as the head of a department in the Main Directorate for Supervision of Law Enforcement in Transport and Defense Industry Enterprises of the Prosecutor General's Office.
Apparently, Andreev had no problems with his salary there, since he can afford a Breguet watch for 15,5 thousand dollars, which at one time caused a lot of noise around the person of the musketeer.
Social activists, seeing such a watch on the prosecutor, decided that a man of blue blood had no place guarding the interests of the people, and staged several pickets over the matter. As a result, Andreev submitted a letter of resignation, but later backtracked, claiming he had written it under physical duress. However, three months later, public lustration finally caught up with the count and rendered him unemployed.
Interestingly, the prosecutor's annual income is almost equal to the cost of his watch. Did Andreev really want that watch so much that he spent a whole year denying himself everything?
So, in 2013, the prosecutor earned 200 hryvnias, and the source of this income was not disclosed in his declaration. However, the prosecutor's wife, son, and daughter together contributed 611 hryvnias to the family budget, including 11 hryvnias from their salary and 600 hryvnias from an inheritance. It's worth noting that in 2012, the prosecutor's family had already received an inheritance of almost the same amount. Apparently, the count and his relatives were lucky.
Despite such a relatively meager income by prosecutorial standards, the count's family has no complaints about life, even though they live in a 78,3 square meter apartment and drive a 2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 (used, it costs about 2,5 million UAH).
Well, Andreev is not poor either, because in addition to an expensive watch, he also has an expensive car - a 2012 Volkswagen Touareg (used costs about 700 thousand UAH).
Interestingly, the prosecutor and his family's actual estate, no matter how you look at it, doesn't align with his official income. So perhaps the prosecutor's musketeer moonlights in the service of some cardinal?
“Already three of us, we already have losses…”
Valiant Partos – Deputy Regional Prosecutor Gennady Gladkov was recently appointed to the post.
Gladkov began his prosecutorial career in the Kharkiv region, where he worked until his appointment to Sumy. However, his biography remains largely unknown.
It is known that in 2011 Gladkov no longer held the position of prosecutor, but what he did for the last three years is unknown.
But in the Kharkiv region, Gladkov is well remembered and known as the "master of the forest." In 2011, just as Gladkov disappeared from the prosecutor's orbit, our Partos attempted to seize control of Kharkiv's hunting grounds, which, with the support of prominent figures, he succeeded in doing almost immediately.
So, not long ago, people's forests became more common and Gladkov began to earn quite a bit of money.
Unfortunately, we weren't able to see how much money Gladkov officially earned last year, as the regional prosecutor's office reported that this valiant musketeer's declaration is currently in the Prosecutor General's Office, so we can only guess at the "master of the forest's" wealth.
The scandalous prosecutor, Valentin Zherebkin, also remained in his post after the lustration. This character is talked about in every nook and cranny of the Louvre. And not in a good way.
Valentin Zherebkin is a saintly Aramis, according to his declaration, and a cunning smuggler, according to the facts. The facts are as follows: in 2012, Zherebkin, while serving as the Belopolsky District Prosecutor, assisted in the bankruptcy of the Belopolsky Machine-Building Plant. Later, having earned money from smuggling, the prosecutor set up the plant to suit his own ends. In short, Zherebkin illegally smuggles royal pendants and their components from Paris to London.
However, the official declaration is silent about the prosecutor's income. According to the official document, the prosecutor earned only 121 hryvnias last year, while his wife and two daughters earned 180 hryvnias: 153 hryvnias of this was salary, 16 hryvnias was income from the sale of real estate, and 11 hryvnias was other income.
Despite Aramis's wide-ranging activities, his family can't boast of their own housing or transportation. The prosecutor himself officially lives modestly and owns no property. Where the entire prosecutorial couple sleeps remains a mystery, although Zherebkin once "squeezed" 10 hectares of land from public organizations. Apparently, he forgot to declare it and hasn't built anything on it yet.
Zherebkin gets to work either by trailer or by watercraft, which he owns.
The beautiful Constance, Kharkiv resident Tatyana Mironenko, also survived the lustration.
Mironenko came to the position of deputy regional prosecutor from the post of director of the Institute for Personnel Training of the National Academy of the Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine.
Last year, our Konstantia earned 258 hryvnias at the university. In addition to her salary, the prosecutor's declaration lists 347 hryvnias as income from teaching and 52 hryvnias in other income. In total, Mironenko gained 311 hryvnias last year, and she has 63 hryvnias in the bank, 43 of which she deposited last year. Konstantia lives alone in a 151,31 square meter apartment and has a 38,4 square meter garage, but does not own any vehicles. Mironenko also owns another property of 3,6 square meters.
"C'est la vie," such is life, two prosecutors in the Sumy Regional Prosecutor's Office have already had to lay down their swords; their places will certainly be taken by new musketeers, who are already lining up for the vacancy in the long corridors of the Louvre.
However, it is safe to say that a folded musketeer's sword is no obstacle to taking up the sword of a cardinal's guard and continuing one's enrichment in a different field, but with old connections.
In connection with the above, Prosecutor's Truth has several questions:
— Where will they place the dismissed prosecutor, D'Artagnan of the Sumy prosecutor's office, Vladimir Petrov?
How does prosecutor Andreev, with an annual salary of 200 hryvnias, manage to wear a $15,5 watch while his family drives a 2,5 million hryvnia car?
— Will lustration finally catch up with the "master of the forest" Gladkov and the smuggler Zherebkin, or will these musketeers not give up so easily?
