A criminal case was brought against brother Dobkin for bribing elections, - Avakov

The police department in the Kharkiv region has broken criminal investigations into the fact of bribery of voters by candidates for people's deputies of Ukraine Dmitry Dobkin (brother of the ex-governor of the Kharkiv region Mikhail Dobkin) and Volodymyr Skorobagach.

Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov announced this on his Facebook page.

“In the Kharkiv region, the Ministry of Internal Affairs destroyed criminal investigations for the fact of bribing voters, through the distribution of food packages for the sake of candidates Dmitry Dobkin and Volodymyr Skorobahach (buckwheat, tsukor, pechivo, butter, condensed milk... all smeared with leaflets and campaigning of the candidate ..),” he wrote.

“Bribing elections is like the alpha and omega, like the main rule of a swindler who wants to get into the Rada. Load up on buckwheat and canned food, put everything in a bag with your candidate’s “bright” profile. Add a pack of zucchini, tea and a couple of beautiful calendars with you. Talk, and then distribute hryvnia for 200, dear comrades, “Get in touch with the newly-minted deputy of the Verkhovna Rada,” the minister said.

“And don’t be surprised that corruption doesn’t stop. “Don’t be fooled by stealing and voting on the wrong laws,” added Avakov.
