Law enforcement agencies in the British Virgin Islands have opened proceedings and launched an investigation against several companies media outlets have linked to Gennady Korban. Law enforcement is investigating Vesdix Investments Limited and suspects its co-owners of being involved in the embezzlement of funds from JSCB Nadra Bank in 2007-2008, according to UN.
Journalists established the connection between Vesdix Investments Limited and Gennady Korban, a close associate of oligarch Kolomoisky, from court case materials.
It is known that lawyers Andriy Bohdan and Ruslan Babiy represent the offshore company Vesdix Investments Limited in the commercial courts of the Odesa, Kharkiv, Kherson, Donetsk, and Mykolaiv regions. The latter have worked for over eight years at the law firms of Igor Pukhin and Andriy Bohdan, Legal Advisors and Pukhin & Partners. Andriy Bohdan, in turn, is an assistant to Gennady Korban, the chairman of the Ukrop party. It is also known that during the elections in constituency No. 205, Bohdan was an authorized member of the legal team for candidate Gennady Korban.
Furthermore, journalists discovered that judges of the commercial courts of the Kharkiv, Kherson, and Odesa regions received written requests from MP Oleksandr Dubinin demanding that they issue court rulings in favor of Vesdix Investments Limited. Dubinin, like Korban, is a member of the leadership of the UKROP party.
As UN noted, following the investigation of the case against Vesdix Investments Limited in the British Virgin Islands, an investigation against this company in Ukraine may also begin.
As a reminder, Gennady Korban stated a week ago that President Poroshenko had ordered security forces to carry out repression against activists and members of the Ukrop party.
