Criminal proceedings have been opened against the head of the Patients of Ukraine charity for theft of commercial secrets.

Law enforcement agencies have opened a criminal case against Dmitry Sherembey, Chairman of the Patients of Ukraine Charitable Foundation, following a complaint filed by a Ukrainian pharmaceutical manufacturer. The Kyiv police department reported this to PressOrg https://pressorg24.com.

The criminal case in question has been registered and is being investigated under Article 231 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The Chairman of the Board of the Charitable Foundation "Patients of Ukraine" is suspected of illegally collecting and using information constituting a commercial secret, which caused material damage to the applicant.

As a reminder, media outlets previously reported that Health Minister Oleh Musiy is lobbying for the dismissal of Deputy Minister Ruslan Salyutin in order to appoint Dmitry Sherembey, Chairman of the Patients of Ukraine Charitable Foundation, in his place.
