The pro-government party appeals to the Constitutional Court more often than the EU and Voice

During the work of the Verkhovna Rada of the 9th convocation, deputies submitted 38 petitions to the Constitutional Court regarding the constitutionality of decisions of the Cabinet of Ministers, parliament, and even presidential decrees. The Opposition Platform – For Life deputies are the leaders in terms of the number of petitions to the Constitutional Court. Oleksandr Kachny and Mykhailo Makarenko signed 22 petitions. The deputies, in particular, asked the Constitutional Court to repeal the law on illicit enrichment (and succeeded), the law on the amalgamation of territorial communities, and the law on the High Anti-Corruption Court.

21 performances are signed by Natalia Prikhodko and Antonina Slavitskaya. Nikolay Skorik He also signed 21 petitions to the Constitutional Court, but withdrew one signature—he changed his mind about challenging the constitutionality of the law preventing the prosecution of protest participants. Their colleagues in the Opposition Platform — For Life faction— Natalia Korolevskaya, Mikhail Papiev, Tatyana Plachkova, Valeriy Gnatenko, Yuriy Zagorodniy, Vladimir Moroz – appealed to the Constitutional Court 20 times.

The non-factional party signed 17 submissions to the Constitutional Court Anton YatsenkoHe challenged the constitutionality of the Electoral Code, the "anti-Kolomoisky" law, and the law on the prosecutor's office.

Independent MP Oleksandr Dubinsky has joined the petitions to the Constitutional Court 14 times. He, in particular, questioned the constitutionality of the appointment. Artem Sytnik Director of NABU, the constitutionality of the Cabinet of Ministers' decision on a "weekend" quarantine, and the law on land reform.

Anna Skorokhod, a deputy from the "For the Future" group, and Oleksandr Kovalev, a member of parliament from the "Dovira" group, also signed 14 submissions to the Constitutional Court.

Members of the Batkivshchyna faction are actively appealing to the Constitutional Court. Volodymyr Kabachenko's signature appears on 13 submissions. Alexandra Abdullina, Konstantin Bondarev, Mikhail Volynets, Andrey Puziychuk – under 12, Sergei Vlasenko, Vadim Ivchenko, Ivan Kirilenko, Alexander Kucherenko, Valentina Nalyvaichenko, Andrey Nikolaenko and Mikhail Tsymbalyuk - under 11.

Oleksandr Matusevich, a member of the "Servant of the People," appealed to the Constitutional Court 11 times. He signed a motion challenging the constitutionality of Sytnyk's appointment, the Cabinet's creation of a tobacco market operator, and the constitutionality of the "anti-Kolomoisky" law. Olha Vasilevska-Smaglyuk appealed to the Constitutional Court 10 times, while Serhiy Grivko, Serhiy Demchenko, and Vyacheslav Rublev appealed nine times each.

Members of parliament from the European Solidarity and Voice parties rarely exercise their right to appeal to the Constitutional Court. Oleksiy Goncharenko (EU) signed four petitions, including one regarding the Rada resolution on district consolidation.

From “Voice”, only Solomiya Bobrovska (twice), Yulia Klimenko and Yaroslav Ruschyshyn (once each) applied to the Constitutional Court.
