The Pshonkis have become defendants in new cases.

The Prosecutor General's Office has opened criminal proceedings against former Prosecutor General Viktor Pshonka and his son Artem.

This was reported in the press center of the Security Service of Ukraine.
"Based on SBU materials, the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine has opened a criminal investigation into abuse of power and official position by former Prosecutor General of Ukraine V.P. Pshonka, who, acting contrary to the interests of the service and in prior conspiracy with his son, People's Deputy of Ukraine A.V. Pshonka, and other prosecutorial officials, organized a cover-up from regulatory and law enforcement agencies for the illegal construction (without any title documents) of residential and non-residential properties in Kyiv by the UKOGRUP group of companies, which entailed grave consequences under Part 2 of Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine," the statement reads.
Another case involving Artem Pshonka was opened by the Main Investigative Department of the Security Service of Ukraine under Part 5 of Article 191 (embezzlement, misappropriation of property, or taking possession of it through abuse of office) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
"The investigation is building evidence to implicate Ukrainian MP A.V. Pshonka in the illegal alienation of a portion of the non-residential premises of an integrated property complex by officials of Kyivproekt PJSC at an inflated price, resulting in losses to the state totaling UAH 22,5 million," the intelligence agency clarified.
