As reported by the press service of PJSC First Ukrainian International Bank (FUIB), as of January 12, 2015, the new address of the financial institution is as follows: 04070, Ukraine, Kyiv, Andreevskaya Street, 4. In connection with this, the state registrar has registered the charter in a new version due to the change of registration address.
In particular, FUIB Chairman of the Board, Serhiy Chernenko, stated that "FUIB is one of the oldest banks in the country, the same age as independent Ukraine. Historically, we began our operations in the Donetsk region by servicing large corporate enterprises. Twenty years later, FUIB is a large universal bank with a presence throughout Ukraine. Changing the bank's legal address is a logical step in the development of our business, especially given the events unfolding in the east."
In August 2014, due to the anti-terrorist operation in Donbas, the NBU suspended bank operations in the temporarily occupied territories. Later, by decision of the National Security and Defense Council, all Ukrainian banks were ordered to close their branches and disable payment terminals in the occupied cities of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions.
As a reminder, PJSC "First Ukrainian International Bank" began operations in 1991, servicing the foreign trade turnover of large Ukrainian industrial enterprises (particularly in the Donetsk region). In 2010, it entered The Banker magazine's ranking of the world's 1,000 largest banks, debuting at 905th place. As of July 1, 2010, FUIB employed approximately 2700 people.
The Bank’s shareholders are SCM FINANCE LLC – 89,87% (Rinat Akhmetov’s group), SCM Financial Overseas – 10% minus one share, and individuals – 0,13%.
