Defense industry workers embezzled 50 million in budget funds with the help of Poroshenko's man.

TenderThe Chief Military Prosecutor's Office has opened a case of embezzlement from state-owned defense industry enterprises, according to Nashi Groshi.

The case involves 24 state-owned enterprises in the military-industrial complex, engaged in both weapons and electronics. According to investigators, between 2012 and 2014, the directors and officials of these enterprises embezzled a total of 50 million hryvnias in budget funds.

It turns out that the companies "Brendoboronmarket" and "VTS-prom" LLC supplied microchips to defense plants, but some of the deliveries were fictitious, and the characteristics of the supplied equipment and its origin have not yet been determined.

Investigators believe that the funds were withdrawn through two conversion centers.

It should be noted that "Brendoboronmarket" is associated with the organization "Committee on Combating Corruption and Organized Crime," and "VTS-Prom" is owned by a certain Vladimir Yakimchuk.

It is known that Ukroboronprom, which controls most of Ukraine's defense enterprises, has been headed since 2012 by Serhiy Gromov, who is associated with Rinat Akhmetov's Metinvest holding company. During the presidential elections, he headed Petro Poroshenko's campaign headquarters in the Kherson region.
