The Deputy Governor of the National Bank (Vladislav Rashkovan), who was responsible for reforming the NBU's internal structure and Ukraine's entire financial and banking system in particular, is resigning. He says he has fully fulfilled all his responsibilities and now sees his role as creating an investment business—his own company—which, he says, will help foreign investors invest wisely in the country's economy.

Mr. Rashkovan comments on his decision as follows: "Together with old and trusted friends (Andrey Stavnitser and Philipp Grushko), we decided to create SD Capital, a company that will partner with large foreign companies when investing in the Ukrainian economy. At the company, I plan to focus on what I do best: strategy, transformation of large organizations, and M&A in the real estate and financial sectors."
NBU Governor Valeria Gontareva also commented on the situation: "The most difficult stage of the reform has been completed—we have laid the foundation for a modern European central bank, stabilized the banking system, and moved from addressing past problems to fully developing the banking system. The reform process continues; they have already become irreversible. During this time, the National Bank has become a leader in reforms within the country, and Vladislav Rashkovan has become a true agent of change in restructuring the financial sector."
