From June 28 to 30, 2015, the Dinex-Agro farm, led by Alexander Fedorovich Petkov, seized fields leased by the Stoyanov A.A. farm, blocked its operations, stole its harvest, and transported it to an unknown location. The raiders were assisted by police officers from the Izmail district of the Odessa region, led by deputy head of the city department, Viktor Grigorievich Dyachenko.
A journalist from the publication "Rule of Law" witnessed these illegal actions by the police and the dishonest businessman. He discovered that the farming company "Stoyanov A.A." was legally harvesting crops on the fields it leased. However, the management of the farming company "Dinex-Agro" claimed that the crop belonged to them and that only they could harvest it, despite the fact that a court ruling had prohibited Dinex-Agro from carrying out any activities on the fields. Anyone who resisted would be slaughtered by the raiders.
After this, the equipment of the Stoyanov A.A. farm was blocked and damaged by employees of the Dinex-Agro farm and personally by A.F. Petkov. The Dinex-Agro workers began harvesting the fields of the Stoyanov A.A. farm, violating the court order. The police, led by Colonel V.G. Dyachenko, deputy head of the Izmail city police department, arrived at the scene and were informed of the court order banning any activity by the Dinex-Agro farm in the field. However, the police officers did nothing other than fill out unnecessary paperwork. After negotiating with A.F. Petkov, Colonel V.G. Dyachenko stated that he was not legally prohibited from harvesting, despite this being clearly stated in the court order. Apparently, the court is no authority for a police colonel.
As a result, despite all the attempts of the management of the Stoyanov A.A. farm to protect the fields they leased, almost the entire harvest was collected by a raider and taken away to an unknown location, with the silent support of the brave officers of the Izmail police.
In response to the criminal inaction of the Izmail police and the illegal actions of the Dinex-Agro farm, the public organization "Rule of Law" sent appeals to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine with the aim of bringing all those responsible to criminal responsibility.
