A relative of MP Shipko built an elite home under the guise of renovating a residential building.

The Production and Commercial Firm B.E.S.T. LLC, owned by the wife of former MP Andriy Shipko, built a five-story clubhouse in the historic part of Dnipropetrovsk under the guise of renovating an old house. This was reported by Nashi Groshi, citing an investigation by the publication BuroUA.

It is known that in 2012, the City Council authorized B.E.S.T. to carry out design work and reconstruct an old one-story building at 62 Komsomolskaya Street. The renovation project is located within Historic Zone No. 1—"Historic City Center, 1770-1950." Since the renovation was carried out on an area with subsidence soils, B.E.S.T. was also required to conduct engineering, geological, and topographic surveying work, which was not completed.

The urban development regulations and restrictions stipulate a maximum building height of three stories. However, as the author notes, three years later, five stories, not three, have been built, and instead of a landscaped area, the courtyard has been destroyed by construction equipment. The developer is already selling apartments in the new building.

From 2006 to 2012, Oleksandr Shipko, then a member of the Dnipropetrovsk City Council (2010-2015), was a co-owner of B.E.S.T. His brother, Oleksiy, was also listed as a founder until 2011. It is known that Oleksiy and Oleksandr Shipko have an older brother, Andriy Shipko, a member of parliament and a member of the Renaissance Party group, who represented the Party of Regions in the previous parliament.

Since 2013, the founders of the firm "B.E.S.T." have been Irina Shipko, Alexander Yazev, Grigory Chetverik and Tatyana Chernobrivenko.
