Ukrnafta CEO Mark Rollins has appointed Anatoliy Taranets, a Kolomoisky associate, as head of the Department for Oil, Gas, and Petroleum Products Sales. The Ukrnafta CEO signed the appointment document without consulting the state-owned company's supervisory board, according to EP, citing its own source within Naftogaz of Ukraine.
It is known that Ukrnafta's former management intended to approve Anatoliy Taranets as the company's vice president of sales. However, as the source noted, since Mr. Taranets is close to Ihor Kolomoisky, Naftogaz of Ukraine "pressured" Ukrnafta's supervisory board, and Taranets' candidacy was not approved.
The source reported that on January 13, 2015, NAK Naftogaz of Ukraine received a document signed by Mark Rollins stating that Taranets had been appointed head of the oil, gas, and petroleum products sales department of PJSC Ukrnafta.
Previously, media reports indicated that Ukrnafta is still run by Kolomoisky's associates, Oleksiy Kushch and Volodymyr Pustovarov. They are not members of Ukrnafta's board, but they still hold the primary signatory power within the company.
As a reminder, 50% +1 share of Ukrnafta is owned by the National Joint Stock Company Naftogaz of Ukraine. 42% of the shares are owned by Ihor Kolomoisky's Privat Group.
Earlier it was reported that Mark Rollins lobbies for Igor Kolomoisky's interests..
