A Russian court has seized Taruta's business.

Sergey Taruta

Moscow's Basmanny District Court has seized the business of Donetsk Governor Sergei Taruta.

Taruta himself stated this on the TV program “First Page” on Channel One, reports “Ukrainian News”.
"My business no longer exists. It's been seized, it's been taken away, so this is retribution... it wasn't terrorists. Terrorists seized the office, terrorists seized the building, terrorists destroyed the office in Mariupol. And the assets that were seized, assets located both here in Ukraine and abroad, by decision of the Basmanny Court, the fairest court in the world, these assets are seized today," he said.
The governor noted that, since the controlling stake in ISD belongs to Russian shareholders, this procedure was carried out quite easily.
Taruta is a co-owner of the Industrial Union of Donbass corporation, a controlling stake of which is held by Russian shareholders.
ISD specializes in the production and sale of metal products, controlling the Alchevsk and Dneprovsky metallurgical plants, the Dnepropetrovsk pipe plant, the Alchevsk coke plant, as well as the ISD Dunaferr and ISD Huta Czestochowa metallurgical plants and other assets.
