The Russian subsidiary of Poroshenko's plant was forgiven 70 million in unpaid taxes.

gunpowder and RoshenRoshen Lipetsk Confectionery Factory JSC (a subsidiary of President Petro Poroshenko's Roshen Corporation) has been forgiven over 70 million rubles in profit taxes and penalties for 2013. The decision was made by employees of the Federal Tax Service's interdistrict inspectorate following a tax audit of the company.
According to the company's lawyer, Alexander Guryev, this decision was made based on the results of a 2013 audit. The Federal Tax Service also filed other claims against the factory, but Roshen plans to challenge them in court.
Tax authorities are currently auditing the plant's operations for 2014, and the results for 2012-2013 are being challenged in court. Guryev stated that the factory is constantly being monitored for tax compliance, and the results of the 2014 audit will not be available until the summer of 2016. He also suggested that the plant's operations will be audited throughout 2015.
