The leadership of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences is suspected of embezzling land worth almost 120 million hryvnias.

bribeThe Prosecutor General's Office is investigating allegations of abuse of office by the leadership of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences (NAAS), according to Nashi Groshi.

As a result of illegal actions, 4650 hectares of highly valuable land in the northern Odesa region were seized from a state-owned enterprise. This land is valued at 119,5 million hryvnias.

As part of the investigation, the Main Investigative Department of the Prosecutor General's Office petitioned the court to grant access to the ruling of the Commercial Court of Odessa Oblast, which declared the state-owned enterprise "Novoselovskoye Experimental Farm" bankrupt.

It was from Novoselovsky that this land was confiscated. It turned out that the NAAS management deliberately failed to approve the experimental farm's reorganization plan. And the company's chief accountant refused to grant access to documents to SBU officers.

It's worth noting that Novoselovskoye was declared bankrupt on March 18 of last year, and bankruptcy proceedings were initiated back in 2013. The chair of the creditors' committee was a private entrepreneur. In 2014, Borzna-Agro LLC, owned by Evgeniya Levenchuk and Oleh Pankiv, became his legal successor. Interestingly, it was this company that filed the petition to declare Novoselovskoye bankrupt.
