As is well known, members of parliament are very modest people with equally modest incomes. It's no joke to govern a country and make key decisions on a salary of only 6,5 hryvnias per month! Moreover, the member of parliament for constituency No. 91, known for his charitable work and concern for the well-being of the population, is an ordinary homeless person, without a single square meter of living space. Is it any wonder he was forced to turn to the state for financial assistance to cover his rent in the capital? And of course, it's also no surprise that this subsidy was successfully granted to Ruslan Nikolaevich.
However, this is probably the fate of any person from a wealthy family who has carved out a path for themselves through their own hard work: wealthy relatives are completely unwilling to provide financial support, and you can't get ahead on your own. There's no doubt that Solvar's parents are far from poor: his mother, a schoolteacher, Maria Vladimirovna Solvar, boasts five apartments in elite Kyiv neighborhoods and two cottages in the suburbs. This doesn't even include much less elite real estate, such as three apartments (over 150 square meters), two offices, three garages, and two mansions in a typical cottage community.
Malicious tongues claim that the deputy's relatives own Kyiv real estate worth over a million dollars on just one street, and no one has even attempted to value all of it. It would seem that sharing even a run-down apartment in the capital with a relative would be worthless, so he wouldn't disgrace the family by begging for state subsidies. It's not for nothing that they say the rich have their quirks.
However, some meticulous citizens from public organizations have calculated that Ruslan Solvar has an illicit fortune of $50 million and an annual income from corruption schemes of $2 million. Rumor has it that the National Anti-Corruption Bureau has recently (and seriously) taken an interest in these sums, but who knows what envious people say about the man who created approximately 400 jobs for Ukrainians and provided free public transportation to the Kyiv region…
