The Mariupol Sea Trade Port State Enterprise, which is under the control of the occupiers, owes 6,15 million hryvnias to a company affiliated with former Minister Roman Abramovsky, which was carrying out construction work on a grain terminal. 368 media became known from court ruling No. 905/1795/21.
In April 2018, the commercial port signed a contract with Riola-Modul LTD to build a grain handling facility. The contracted construction cost was UAH 139,35 million, including UAH 23,22 million in VAT.
The contractor completed construction work worth 134 million hryvnias, but the Mariupol port was only able to recover 127,87 million hryvnias.
In particular, the contractor failed to pay for the work in accordance with the acceptance certificates for completed construction work for July 2021.
Furthermore, the contractor, in accordance with the terms of the additional work contract, completed work totaling UAH 12,48 million. However, the port only partially fulfilled its payment obligations for the completed work, paying only UAH 7,28 million. Consequently, the outstanding balance under the Additional Work Contract amounted to UAH 5,2 million.
As a result, Riola-Modul LTD filed a claim with the Donetsk Regional Commercial Court for the recovery of a debt of UAH 11,35 million. Following the hearing, on October 14, 2022, the court ordered Mariupol Sea Trade Port State Enterprise to pay the debt of UAH 11,35 million, as well as a court fee of UAH 170.
