Self-Help has sent the law on the liquidation of Cyprus offshore companies back for revision.

self-helpLviv Mayor Sadovyi's third-largest party in the Verkhovna Rada, Samopomich, sent the bill on the abolition of the Cyprus offshore tax haven back for revision. Oleh Leusenko wrote about this in his LiveJournal: "While Svoboda MP Levchenko explained his position on the immediate consideration of the bill and urged deputies to vote for the annulment of the Cyprus offshore tax haven (the repeal of the treaty-convention between Cyprus and the former Ukrainian SSR), in her closing remarks, Anna Hopko of Samopomich, skillfully manipulating legal casuistry, convinced the hall to 'send the bill back for revision.' Hmm... There are various ways to revise it, including taking into account the interests of the sponsor of the third-largest political project in the Rada. But I wrote that it would be better to have nationalists in parliament instead of Benya's project. Let's watch the fight over offshore tax havens unfold." Meanwhile, the "fathers" of the grant-loving girls are, hastily or not, withdrawing sizable sums from the Mediterranean island that has fallen out of favor with the Rada."

Let us recall that a group of Samopomich people's deputies, including experts in finance and economics, proposed a system of legislative changes that would allow for budgetary replenishment by cutting the excess profits of monopoly company owners.

"In the current crisis, it is necessary to force monopolists and oligarchs to fill the state budget," faction chairman Oleh Berezyuk stated earlier.
