The SBU has accused an employee of Kyivska Rus Bank of embezzling a large sum of money.

counting moneyThe SBU press service released a statement confirming the involvement of a senior employee of the recently liquidated Kyivska Rus bank in the theft of a large sum ($44 million).

Specifically, the report states: "Law enforcement officers established that the official, among other things, sold two office buildings in Kyiv and Lviv, which were mortgaged to Kyivan Rus, for next to nothing. He completed the transaction in March 2016, the day before the bank was placed under temporary administration."
According to documents provided by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), the embezzler top manager (his name has not been released) was notified of suspicion of committing a crime under Part 5 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which also led to his being placed on an international wanted list. The court also ordered the seizure of all movable and immovable property of the suspect.
